The Search
-Stepping into the unknown.
Life is a crazy ride, full of ups and downs; laughs that get us high to the sky, frowns that pull us to the ground. Yet we find solace in the fluctuation of it all, allowing for each experience to be unique. A dance in the ball within the hall of what can only be seen as the brink of madness. Still we step, one foot at a time, into the vast foggy path in search of it all. Let the unknown be known by walking into it. Do it scared if you must, but do it, for that is the only path, and the only way is through it.
-Recognizing the ruined past.
To be able to see things clearly for what they are, one must embrace the path already walked and recognize the teachings. The true meaning of walking is to know that once we stood still but know we move forward. It is to understand that where we've been has left a lasting image within. May the ruins of your past become the foundation of your future as you build your present by walking the path ahead. But remember to take a moment to see the light under the rubble, for there is where the teachings hide. For light can only be there where there's darkness, and darkness can never be if there's no light for it to contrast.
-Uphill towards the future.
What may come might be uncertain, but by building the present we create an idea of what that uncertainty may actually look like. Then it is up to effort, endurance and fate to show us what is really coming, but even then we will never know until we actually arrive. The now unreachable future will soon become the tangible present and eventually turn to the ruins of our past. The uphill is a battle that can only be won by the thirst of adventure and knowledge. One that can only be fought by holding the truth within our hearts strongly in our hands, for that is the staff, magic filled, that aides us up this jagged hill we know as time.
-Embracing the path walked.
As we look back, the only acceptable emotion is joy. We survived, we endured, we experienced, we learned... and so we move on. What more could there possibly be to embrace if not the joy brought by the path already walked? To accept is to grow, to understand is to recognize, but to embrace is to learn the true lesson of life, a lesson that evolves with every step, ever-changing, everlasting. For that is what the eternal growth looks like, and we must never doubt the power of its knowledge.
-Facing the sunrise.
Once we reach the summit the realization of an infinite road becomes soothing to those who took the path to heart and learned through it. Fear fades like the morning mist as the sun rises from the horizon, so we face it with our heads high and our chests tight, ready for a new adventure. What was once just a dream is now a memory, what was to be success becomes another lesson learned for the future ahead. Nothing can stop us now so, the search continues and we embrace it with a big smile and a warm tear. Nostalgia can only fuel the drive to keep going, otherwise it's an anchor keeping us from growing, and the only acceptable anchor in this life is death.
...or is it?
